It's a Loooong way back to the beach ...

posted by Francis Ho

Happy holidays folks! But for some (like yours truly) its back to the grind; however an email with this attached picture, I received from a dear old retired engineer friend of mine in Perth brought a grin to my face. Thanks Boon Keat; now half the population in Kuching will think I'm bonkers to be on the water as they will substitute in their mind's eye the great white with the still-uncaught legendary man-eater crocodile here - 'Bujang Senang"!

wah, luckily we did not see any one of them.

Or else, I would have more blisters on the portion of the grip.

Thanks for the great kayaking trip and tips, some of our famous words:

'Quick Quick, go toilet first' ...Before we board our Kayaks...

'Why must we kayak all the way here when we can drive' ...On arrival of the beach...

'Hmmm, can you put a motor next time on the kayak?' ...On our way back...

'Yes, the sun is very mean' ...When we first started...

'It's normal, we always get the storm' ...It rained like hell ...

'Muscle Man Muscle Man, where are you' ...as we load and unload the kayaks.
Hey! I'll leave it to you to blog this story!
I dare to say this as some incriminating video has for some inexplicable reason disappeared into thin air! ;o)
Be jealous 'bin - a friend of mine is going to pick me up for laksa now! ho ho ho!
FH2o, see, how can I not be wary of being on a kayak? There are those ten-footers or is it fifteen(?) lurking below. These things can swim from Australian waters to Kuching waters, right? Yikes!

Whatever, it must have been fun with Robin around. haha!
happy - i feel safer on the water with Robin as I can paddle faster than him; I don't need to have to worry about out-paddling against either the shark or cros!

I just need to out-paddle robin!
ho ho ho! ;o)
seems like u guys enjoying it ler........
Yet another reason to go with the BCU business about always paddling in groups of at least 3 - just make sure you're the fastest one, eh?

Yipes. Time for a titanium kayak!
Tsk tsk tsk, ... and who did the 'Despicable' act of deleting my prized pics and video, by pretending to look at the new camera.

I will remember Thee.. kekeke
jellyfish - u r most welcomed 2 join us if u around this part of d world

bonnie - just make sure that you are not the slowest would suffice!

mangrovedan - thought you would be contacting me for trips? still want to follow after this ah? ;o)

panda - yeap! titanium hull and spear guns!

robin - thanks for keeping us safe! bless your soul!
Unbeknownst to FH2O, Robin changed memory cards before handing the camera to him and still retains the incriminating evidence which he is saving for a "rainy day".
kekeke... panda, how right!

Guys, just bought a book titled " Man Eating Crocodiles of Borneo". Kinda gives me the willies a bit but I'll still stick me butt in a kayak...hmmm..need to have someone else as bait. FH20, gotta borrow you to read after I finish...interesting to say the least that book!
First it was robin & happysurfer gangin' up and now its robin & panda ... hmmmmm
Do i smell a conspiracy here?

Kuroni - let me know the most crocs-infested river from the book. That's where we'll be goin' with robin on his next visit. U can paddle faster than him, so no worries! kekeke ;o)

Law, right on!

FH2o, food for thought, eh?
Gangstas meh you think we are? hehehe......... Even the crocos are laughing.......
law - lol! hmmmm never thought of that! In this case I'll bring along "one-speed (full) Ezam" in future.

happy - think I've been outnumbered here! See - it's safer on the waters!
See lah, the typical,
船头惊鬼,船尾惊贼.

(for the benefits of all the potatoes, this phrase is a Cantonese Phrase which means, "when you are on a ship, you are afriad of the ghost in the BOW and afriad of thief in the STERN")
