Kayaking with 'KFC' (Kenny, FH2o & Co!) - it's finger lickin' good!

Here's a quick Chinese New Year Paddle Blog!

We went for a quick paddle near Bau from Krokong to Wind Cave early this morning; the 'quick' being delayed by Kenny (he thought that the 4th day of CNY means Thursday! duh!) and Joe (aka I-Like-To-Sleep-In-Joe). So after a quick breakfast we quickly hit the water with the excitable neophyte quartet of Kenny, Dan, Lau & Mary. Joe was designated as second minder in command.

As predicted the magical river elicited all the 'as-if scripted wows' as all cares and worries floated away amidst the tranquility and beauty of the rainforest. Due to the surprising lack of rain (like someone had just turned off the tap!) the water level was a bit low and at certain places we (or rather I, as my tandem partner had a rather heavy butt!) had to portage (get out of and pull) the boat. But this did not dampen our enjoyment of the river trip as it was smiles all round (are they trying to disguise the pain of muscles aches and blisters?) at the take-out at Wind Cave.

What a wonderful way to spend the Chinese New Year Holidays!
Kayaking anyone? On second thought I better retract that as there are still a couple of days of CNY holidays left and there are already quite a few of you on the err, waiting list! My humble apologies as I only have so many kayaks and so many 'kayaking quota' in a month! But we'll hit the water, err, one day. I promise!StumbleUpon Toolbar Stumble It!

Hehe, kayaking seems to have quite a following now. Maybe when your blog gets famous enough, you could use it to spearhead the development of kayaking in Kuching. And get the local govt to endorse and sponsor you. :D Just a thought.
