Painted By The Lights

posted by Francis Ho

Took these photographs which turned out to be like abstract paintings; when I set the camera to "fireworks" mode (which lengthen the exposure time for up to 4 seconds) as I drove on the road. Quite fun actually as you do not know how the photos will turn out to be and the effects can be both surprising and amazing!

Oh yes, and again no time consuming (and tedious) 'Photoshop' or image manipulation is required. And remember to keep one hand on the steering wheel! :o)

Spectacular as this and the CNY fireworks may be; its still incomparable with the magical flickering lights of fireflies as they slow dance amongst the mangroove trees on a moonless night ... Sublime.
