Perfect Partner (!)

posted by Francis Ho

This is bound to happen – I had been ‘tagged’ for the first time all across the oceans by a fellow kayaker in NY, Bonnie aka frogma; who is envious of us wearing shorts throughout the year as their white ass are currently frozen stiff!

I had tried to 'ignore' her tag but what the heck; so let me get this over with this tag!

Qualities of My Perfect Partner

  1. Great body – sleek, streamlined and sexy! And must be absolutely beautiful; no doubt about it!

  2. Adventurous and fearless. (Beautiful and brave! What a combination!)

  3. Strong, tough and reliable. (Am I asking too much here? It's a game right?)

  4. Can weather all storms with me. (And not abandon me when the going gets tough!)

  5. Accept me totally for what I am regardless of my many flaws. (And there are many!)

  6. Always be there for me and never complains whenever I needed/ wanted her at anytime! (I can dream, can't I?)

  7. Little or no maintenance required (!!! I'll get killed if someone reads this!)

  8. Let me love her like crazy! (I can be a little suffocating at times!)

A picture is worth a thousand words – so here’s my perfect partner!

...

Gotcha Bonnie!
And what were you people thinking about?

I can be sporting but folks; no more tags please, thank you kindly! (And I'll 'spare' others the tag too!)

fh2o, i would think that the kayak u posted is a touring kayak, right?!? the the looks, the width is kinda small and it seems like it can capsize easily if struck by waves from the side!!!
mangroovedan - at 18' long and only 21" wide, the Q700x carbon (41 lbs) kayak by QCC Kayak is designed by John Winters as the ultimate fast touring sea kayak! Chops are no problems and it can also surf well and is fast, fast, fast! (what the manufacturer claimed anyway!)

Just the kayak to race to Satang Islands to raid the turtle eggs and back. Just kidding folks!
mabgroovedan, i agree with you. That means if the weather is no good and stormy, still hard to steer one. Wah like our partner's mood also....hehehe...follow weather one...when its stormy, watch out!!
desmond - touring or sea kayaks are designed precisely to handle rough seas and are not easily capsized (unless u r spastic or totally non-coordinated!) unless broached in strong waves and u don't know how to brace; but even then the good ones can be easily uprighted if one can eskimo roll. Prudent to arm oneself with a set of skills first. U cannot just 'go out' and do sea kayaking!

I can handle the above but not the other 'storm' u mentioned!
silveraven - at around US$3,600/- not including freight; it would not be anytime soon!

btw if any rascal try to 'bully' u; pl let unker know immediately! (unless he is taller n bigger than me! then I'll get robin 2 come along with his metal rod!)
hahaha.. that is indeed a perfect and ideal partner for u :)
Good one
I'm thinking your wife knows all about your "mistress" FH2O! But doesn't mind.

Mine used to have wings. ;^)
Hehe, unker, you remind me of my uncle. He's in lurrrve with his paddle boats. and describes a boat he wanted to buy for so long like you did, and when he finally bought it, can see his whole face light up.

Good job maintaining this blog, quite an entertaining read.
