One is NOT a Lonely Number
I love to go kayaking alone which I had been doing for the longest time. I love it as there are few occasions where I feel I am totally alone as one has always the company of nature and solitude makes good company. I'd never felt more at ease and contented when paddling alone with only the gentle sounds of nature and the breeze on my face. The decision to take up kayaking is one of the most fulfilling decisions I'd made in my life.
Up until then, I'd never imagined how wonderful it feels to be gently moving across the waters under one's own propulsion and thoughts. After a while, one comes to the undeniable conclusion of the presence of God and the connectedness of all of us on this universe. I know this to be true. You and I are one and we make the same passage with varying awareness of the meaning and purpose of it all.
But as fallible beings we tend to forget and need to be reminded. The water reminds, invigorate and renew my soul.
See you on the waters!
