Look but Please Don’t Touch!

One of the little surprises (we have a few) our guests taking our kayaking trip like and appreciate at the end of the trip is to be greeted with a nicely chilled sports drink; especially on a hot day.

So as I was about to open the cooler box, I noticed a tiny ‘furry’ and colourful insect on top of it, probably not more than a few millimeters long. On closer examination, it looked like a caterpillar, and a most beautiful one at that. So I took a few quick snaps before flicking it away with a twig.

It’s a good thing I used a twig as Azmi warned me later that if I had let any part of the caterpillar’s hairy body touched my skin, it would be afflicted with a painful and most itchy rash or swell!

Like certain things in the real world – look, admire but please do NOT touch! See; even a teeny weeny worm can teach you a life's lesson! *sigh*
