Instead of Walking the Dogs ...
posted by Francis Ho
Tonight being the Chinese 7th month of the hungry ghost we decided against walking the dogs as we usually do as inevitably quite a number of chinese people would be making 'offerings', to the wandering spirits, outside their homes (the offerings I mean); which would not please the people in our neighbourhood too much if our 4 curious dogs go sniffing (if not take a bite out of) at them.So I was mucking around with a photo of mine taken by Kuan Nee about 2 weeks back on a dolphin spotting trip and the result turned out to be surprising interesting. I think we all look interesting if viewed through psychedic glasses! Especially me! Actually we are all interesting if we work on our 'software' and not be preoccupied with our 'hardware'. But then again how many of us choose to 'see' the human-ness in all of us this way; as unfortunately we are all to a certain extent blinded by the false images of the mass media and fail to see the true beauty that lies within all of us.
But then again it is also good that we cannot 'see' everything since this is the Hungry Ghost Month!

Your picture looks interesting... :)
Hmmm... "true beauty within all of us" It takes some times, no?

Interesting thoughts on how we sometimes lose sight of the human-ness of all of us, FH2O. This is something people of many philosophical disciplines can agree upon. I, for one, must plead to being guilty of same at times.
You know that picture looks like something from a "paint by numbers" kit. Kind of cool.
What's the original look like?
