Thai Glutinous Rice

posted by Francis Ho

I love glutinous rice and Thai glutinous rice is the best I had ever tasted. Together with fresh mangos, jackfruits and durians (with coconut milk) they are simply sublime. A simple and simply delicious combination. But a fair warning is in order - glutnous rice is harder to digest than normal rice; so do not over indulge or you're gonna suffer from uncomfortable indigestion - for hours! But it's unlikely that you'll over eat as you'll soon get a sickly feeling if you take too much.

However if you have not tried them before, you really owe it to yourself to try them. You do not know what you're missing. Hey, you only live once and it's really a food to die for! It’s a pity that they are not easily available in Kuching. I sound like a pig - but a happy one! Now, go eat!

I shouldn't be looking at this post late in the evening. I'm getting hungry thinking about the flavors and textures. Yummmmmm.
