Sleepless in Seattle?

posted by Francis Ho

Strange that I’d been 'assigned' to write a journal entry for a law firm in Seattle, Washington! Hello? This is a Kuching blog and surely I do not have that many readers in the US. Hmm but what do I know and it’s certainly a creative challenge to weave something so completely different - on a personal injury law firm handling serious accident cases and wrongful death cases; into the fabric of this kuching kayaking blog!

Lawyers, like other professionals in Malaysia, are not allowed to advertise their services but not so in Seattle, Washington where Paglialunga & Harris, PS not only has a website advertising their area of specialty but also a blog as well. And their website is informational as well as useful - you can even submit your case for a free evaluation if you believed you had been wronged in a personal injury case. They are on the side of the little guy as they do not represent corporations, insurance companies, or governmental bodies.

So, if you’re in Seattle, Washington and you are in need of a personal injury lawyer or attorney; there is no need for you to stay sleepless as Paglialunga & Harris, PS are just a click away. Now go sleep!

wuah! u also sold ur soul!
Wow, Francis, very impressed that you are asked to write an entry for an American law firm !

Yes, American is very much different from a lot of English ex-colonies countries such as Australia, N.Z etc... It is true capitalist. This is unheard of in America :"Lawyers, like other professionals in Malaysia, are not allowed to advertise their services but not so in Seattle..."

U see all kind of adv including attorney adv. billboards on the highway, by way, anywhere...

U can sell anything in Americas. Haven't u heard of Youtube just sold for US$1.5billion within 1 yrs of operation. Ya, 2 young guys who started an online share video and sold it for hefty US$1.5bil :)-.

Haven't you heard that we are a land of opportunity , road paved by gold :):):), ha ha ha ha.

U know here , architects and lawyers worth a peanut here, we can buy a house plan on a home improvement store, buy legal form on the net. Most of my friends build their home with house plans from home improvement stores and build it themselves :):). My father in law did his own will with the internet legal form :).
wuching - Ya loh for only US10/- som mor ... ;)

kayatan - Thks for sharing that with us. I'm sure you must have found 'american' life quite fascinating compared to Kuching.
I am not sure abt comparing with Kuching ( I only lived in Kuching less than 1/3 of my life), but I can say I am surprised that it is so different from a lot of Western countries that I have lived.

I think I am very fascinated by the enterprising side of American society.

I have never know that an individual can own an airport, an individual can be a mortage lender (without even forming a company), I did not know that you can sell to a 3rd party your million dollar win lottery ticket, you can sell out (cash out) your life insurance , you can buy tax-lien (people who own taxes on their houses, you can buy their bad tax up and earned interest), and you can buy mineral rights on oil field and the list goes on and on.

Like Hokkien said ' po pu pun si kei' , so many opportunities...

It is an entire different world out there, so different from Australia.People are so crazy abt making money, so many biz opp.

We were at a entrepreneur boot camp last yr, a team of father and son started a solar energy package company within 9mths. One can buy the packet and install it within mins, just like our broadband here, we bought the kit and me and my husband set it up within 15mins. It is just amazing !!!

Truly, I would recommend young people to come here to study biz.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

better than nothing
