Sunset @ Penang Bridge

I was getting a comfortable ride on Tuesday evening from a business associate in his mercedes E240 making his daily commute from Seberang Prai where he works to Penang island where he stays and to avoid the congestion at the Penang Bridge he leaves well after office hours. The 2nd Penang Bridge would not be ready yet in another 5 years time.

I also want to avoid any traffic holdup at the bridge as well since I’m taking the earliest flight out from Penang to Kuala Lumpur; so I decided to stay the night at Penang island instead of at Prai.

I’m glad I did; with the glorious views of the waters and bays from the bridge as well as the stunning sunset which my ‘driver’ says is quite ordinary as he has seen even more stunning ones on clearer days. I suspect he doesn’t mind the daily commute because of this. We all need to take time out to take in the fresh air – as well as the views. Happy commuting folks.
