Taking the Plunge

I’m not the only person taking the plunge into the deep unknown; as Azmi, my kayaking buddy and full-time kayaking guide, did the same with his life by getting married last sunday! He’s now on honeymoon for 10 days by the end of which time I’m sure he would like to get his wobbly legs wet again!
Besides Huey and JB, Azmi is the best kayaking buddy anybody could wish for. While he’s perpetually late for the kayaking trips (and he even kept his wedding guests waiting for over 2 hours on Sunday!); Azmi is utterly reliable once he gets on the waters – careful, caring, alert and completely competent. Our guests could not be under better care. He takes their safety very seriously and we would not want it any other way.

Here are some of the photos of Azmi’s wedding that I took for the memories and to share with you all. I had not been to a malay wedding for a long time and the sense of community and family is something to be admired and cherished.
Congratulations to Azmi and
