Of Meandering Rivers from the Air and Snaky People on the Ground
I guessed I am bound to meet one of those snaky characters one day working for a large organization and I sure did, today. This sneaky guy (with a perpetual cunning smile and smirk on his fat face) in a senior managerial position (and acting like a boss) has the cheek to try to ‘delegate up’ what is clearly his responsibility and work to me as the deadline is due on Monday when it is blatantly obvious that he has not done his work due either to incompetence or laziness; most probably both, and panicking in the last minute. A classic example of trying to pass the buck. The only reason I can think of why this guy is in our organisation is probably due to his dubious 'bumi' status which he obviously used as a clutch. What a load of crap. I trust you do not have arsehole colleagues like this in your office. *sigh*

- My workplace has many people like these.
U want to work in Malaysian corporate, play as a team, friend ! ? Black is white, white is black, better still grey.
I left corporate world many many moons back, not my cup of tea. "Beng beng" is white, they said black, what u do ? Tell u the truth, I would rather sell 'kolo mee' at the street than work in the corporate world.
Aiyo, that is why I only write investment blog, not feeling blog !!! Tell people to buy gold, bond, trust etc...
Want to write controversial issues, come to the US and be American, u can write whatever u want.
What kind of company u work ?
Is hire/fire in yr company based by race or merit ?
Is this person the owner of the company or is he/she god ? Who gives he/her the right to write like this ?
Kelvin - That's sad! So you understand exactly how frustrating it can be to have such ppl in your midst.
anonymous - You seem to have a chip on your shoulder jumping to conclusion that I am a traitor, not a team player and a Bumi-hater to boot! Woah! Talk about sweeping statement, overreaction and distortion of facts! I have no 'agenda' whatever you meant by that and I seriously doubt if you are authorised to make any statement on behalf of the company. If not it would be you who would be making the exit and not me!
na - Thanks whoever you are.
kayatan - You are making an incorrect assumption that I am not playing as a team. You must be reading anonymous and not my post! That's also a pretty sweeping statement on the corporate scene in Malaysia which is misinformed.
I am not out to create controversy and this is after all a "limited" blog focused on kayaking and my reflections on love captured in pics and my thoughts.
anonymous - Please ignore the earlier anonymous person as she/he does not speak for the company and her/his views gives a distortion of what the company is actually like. She/he and the arse are the aberrations not the norm. I love working in this dynamic company and the energy is contagious. As a 100% Bumi Company it makes no sense for me to work there if I hate bumis! *sigh*
Glad that u think so highly of the corporate scene !
I hope u all the best on the corporate scene. Hope u achieve greater height and wider horizon on yr corporate scene; higher and wider than yr Brunei success, of course.

Sensitive issue talking about Bumi status hehehehe
