Airport Elephants
posted by Francis Ho
We flew in from Bangkok on sunday to charming Trat Airport on Bangkok Airways and were greeted by neatly pruned elephant shaped hedges.
It was cute but I wondered why elephants and not bears or whatever until we found out later that 'Koh Chang' in thai meant Elephant Island.
We had to take a half-hour car ferry ride followed by a car ride to get to the resort hotel we were going to stay at Koh Chang. We didn't get to see any elephants on the trip but we saw plenty of other interesting sights.
