Back To School @ Kg Beradek
posted by Francis Ho
It's back to school for my children this morning but for these school girls at Kg Beradek; it was back to school yesterday as they have to travel first by a 45 minutes boat ride to Kg Golbit, Kuching and then by another 20 minutes bus ride from there to their boarding school at Kg Bako.
So how did you children travel to school today?

QV - U seem to know where to find your food; cooked or otherwise!
Have no idea about the name either but will find out.
My neighbour who loves seafood goes there or at Buntal to buy his seafood. He even knows when the fishermen are coming back with their catch based on the tide times.

love yr photos as they speak a thousand words. sometimes we forget that going to school is a long commute for those in the rural areas.
serenity - Yes, visiting rural places make us realise how much things we take for granted in our daily lives living in urban areas.
Great that you love my photos which I really enjoyed taking and sharing them here.

There's this Chinese Shop in Kpg Golbit (now that's an interesting name..I wonder where it derived from?) that sells most wonderful fresh fish as its a stop point for fisherman to dump their produce there for pick up.
