Water level rose to knee-high around the Concorde Hotel's carpark - 11 June, 2007

Holey Moley!

Am I glad that I left KL earlier on Saturday after seeing the photos my friends in KL emailed me of the hotel that I was staying in. Take a look ... I think they would need to include another warning sign at their reception counter!

Perhaps its not that crazy to travel with my folding kayak after all as one may not know when an opportunity might presents itself for kayaking! Hmmm ...

The City of Mud (kuala Lumpur) is turning into Venice? Maybe that might solve the traffic problems, instead of cars, we kayak our way around the city :P

Haha. I was about to express my worry-ness, not anymore, after what QV said. That's looking at the brighter side. Hahaha. smiLes.
Well, I know one architect in Malaysia, and am sure there are others, but from these pics, it looks like they need civil engineers.
It also looks like they need boats...lots of them. Unker, I think you got out of there just in time.
Good thing you missed the flood. It wasn't much fun for KLites.

Did you try the dim sum in the Concorde Chinese Restaurant, Xin? One of the best in town, esp their porridge and lotus leaf rice.
