Getting A "Star" That You Don't Want
posted by Francis Ho

I discovered a "star" crack on my car windscreen probably caused by the impact of a flying stone as my car was parked next to a busy road near my office. Ouch!
My children are more imaginative saying that a giant spider had descended to nest there! I can probably live with this 'spider' as it's on the passenger side of the car as I can imagine the replacement of the windscreen would be quite a bothersome and costly affair.
I trust that such stars or spiders do not take a liking to your car windscreens! And unfortunately if they do, I trust that you'll take it in a positively imaginative manner. Ah, well.

Nowadays, some cracked windshield can be 'glued' back. But you must do it within a week.

Happily the safety film within the glass prevented us from being showered with glass (or getting wet), but it was sure a wild experience. I had to have the car towed.
